BENEFITS:
Because my treatments involve a number of modalities including Reiki and animal communication through Shamanic Journeying, the benefits are vast because I “reach” the horse physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
I prefer that massage be the basis of the treatment as all horses benefit from bodywork regardless of their job. I always check their energy centres or Chakras. Imbalances can tell me a lot about a horse. As I proceed with the massage, I do so with the intention of balancing the chakras for the horse’s best and highest good. I have a variety of Essential Oils that I offer to horses. From there I add any of the other modalities depending on their individual needs.
WHY DO PEOPLE BRING THEIR HORSES TO ME?
People come to me for many different reasons. When I began my practice 14 years ago, massage was just becoming an accepted and necessary part of the equine athletes’ routine. I was asked to work on horses with sore backs, head-tossing issues, refusing jumps, horses not engaging their hindquarters etc. As I developed my skills with Acupressure I was asked to help horses who were difficult to get on to the racetrack, horses with performance anxiety and dogs who were slightly off and not placing at dog shows. With the animal communicating that I do through Shamanic Journeying, people come to me to find out how their aging animals are feeling about their lives as they near the end of their earth walk, to get insight into difficult training situations and to find out if their horses like their jobs.
